This unique Yoga Retreat in Cornwall takes place in the beautiful and tranquil surroundings of the famed south coast. You will stay in our exclusive country retreat estate, eat daily delicious fresh and healthy meals prepared by our own talented chef, enjoy yoga and meditation classes and of course daily trips to the ocean where you are free to enjoy the water in whichever way that you want to - Sit by the water's edge and take in the view or if you're feeling really brave - swim, plunge or just float! It's your retreat... Yoga & Wild Swimming Retreat, Cornwall YOGA We will practice yoga and meditation sessions each day. In the mornings we will wake up and invigorate with an energising vinyasa flow class with options available for all levels of practitioner. Evenings will include a combination of free time to relax and winding down with stillness practices such as Yin and Restorative Yoga. Your teacher will guide you through these practices with a compassionate approach, always encouraging you to rest when you need to and look after your body - be kind to yourself! Whether you are fairly new to Yoga or have been practicing for years, our teacher will guide you through the alignment of the postures and hold space for your practice. This is your retreat, so if at any point you feel you would rather rest or take part in another activity then you are free to enjoy your time with us however you wish to. SWIM TRIPS Each day of our retreat we will discover a new and stunning swim spot in the area. Transport will be provided and both our local qualified lifeguard and Swim Hosts will be on hand to answer any questions you may have and to make your swims both safe and fun if you decide to be brave and get into the water - you can learn more about our Team here . We will provide you with beach towels and there are facilities at the retreat house for washing and drying your towels which you are free to use. This retreat was inspired by a book called 'Blue Mind' by marine biologist Wallace J. Nichols - written about the remarkable effects of water on our health and well being. Even just being near to the water has an almost immediate and profound effect on us - we recommend this book highly, it is a good and interesting read for your blue minded retreat! We keep a copy here in our Retreat Library so you are welcome to have a thumb through with a cup of tea when you are here. FOOD Our in-house retreat chef will prepare 3 healthy and delicious meals per day as well as more surprise treats. On your day of arrival there will be dinner and on your departure day there will be breakfast for our final meal all together. We cater to your individual dietary requirements - just let us know. WHAT'S INCLUDED? - 5 nights accommodation at our stunning country home located on its own peninsula with a private beach and serene woodland walks all around. - Daily Yoga and Meditation sessions, all of which are optional. Our teachers will guide you safely through these practices no matter your level. We will enjoy both flowing and energetic yoga as well as restorative stillness practices and meditation during our classes . LOCATION Our retreat house is a uniquely beautiful property located on its own peninsula surrounded by the seas of Cornwall on the south coast. You will feel immediately at home in this cosy and welcoming space. We are lucky to have access to our own private beach where we can take swims or just simply sit and relax. The water access at our private beach is easy and this spot is uniquely sheltered from all weathers - meaning that if the conditions are a little wild at any point this won't stop us from being able to get in the sea in our own sheltered corner of this area. The property is surrounded by a historic oak woodland where you can explore the coastal paths and get lost in leafy nature. We are lucky to have a very unique position from which to explore different swim locations which will be chosen based on the forecast and sea conditions - giving you the best chance to enjoy some truly wonderful swims. There are many parts of Cornwall where swims are tide and conditions dependent, we take care of all of this planning so all you need to worry about is which swimsuit to wear! Please be aware that Portugal is a very popular holiday destination and so we cannot guarantee any totally empty beaches, but the huge stretches of coastline on the Costa Vicentina will always offer us a quiet corner to enjoy. GETTING THERE The nearest airport to our retreat house is Faro Airport. Several airlines fly direct from UK airports to Faro, including EasyJet and Ryanair. The house is approximately 1 hour 40 mins drive from Faro Airport. You can travel to the retreat house by Taxi, or by hire car. We also offer a complimentary retreat shuttle service to & from Faro Airport at a fixed time on arrival and departure days. If you need any assistance arranging your travel to the retreat we will be happy to help advise you. GROUP SIZE This retreat will be enjoyed by a small and intimate group of just 10 guests. Our Story “On some level, I’ve always known the water makes me feel better…” When Salt Sisterhood founder Lauren realised that she felt the same sense of calm after being in the sea mirrored in her yoga practice, an idea began to form. She wanted to create a space that brought women together, allowing them to feel the healing benefits of both activities in combination. Within a supportive community, Lauren dreamt of teaching others the tools she used in her own life to combat anxiety, reconnect with herself and find happiness. Lauren’s dream became a reality when she founded The Salt Sisterhood in 2018. The retreats are focused on a central theme of connection which is interwoven throughout the experience. The meaning of the word Yoga is 'to unite' or 'to bring together', essentially - it is all about connecting. Connecting with nature, with one another and ultimately with oneself. The Salt Sisterhood allows women to delve into wild swimming, practice yoga, mindfulness, meditation and eat healthy, organic food. Lauren’s aim is to enable you to come home to yourself in a welcoming, inclusive space. Through exploring our connection with nature we encourage women to experience the benefits of cold water swimming and being outdoors. We also strive to champion sustainability within our supplier relationships, and always consider the effect of The Salt Sisterhood on others and the environment. The food served on our retreats is organic and locally sourced where possible, and our swimwear line is handmade in the UK using environmentally friendly materials. Returns We absolutely love each of the pieces that we have developed in our first collection of sustainable swimwear, but we understand that shopping for swimwear online can be very tricky and so if you are not completely happy with your order for any reason, we will be happy to refund you. When trying on your swimwear at home, please keep your underwear on for hygeine reasons until you are happy to keep your purchase, or if you need to make a return you can follow the steps below. EXCHANGES If you need to make an exchange, simply return your order using the instructions below and then place a new order via our website to receive the items you wish to buy instead. We will send out your new order as soon as possible, and process your refund on receipt of your returned items (see below). RETURNS Returned items must be unworn, in their original condition and with all labels and tags still attached and in tact. We must receive the returned items back within 14 days of you receiving your order. At this time we don't offer free returns but as we grow as a company we hope to be able to offer you this option in the future. Until then, please use a Royal Mail tracked service to send your returned items back to us. Please find our returns address below: The Salt Sisterhood Returns 1 Vincent Close New Milton BH25 6RL To return all or part of your order, please contact us on sales@thesaltsisterhood.com stating your original order number and reasons why you need to make a return. We will then provide you with an address to return your order to. If only returning part of your order, please let us know which items you are sending back to us. Using a Royal Mail Tracked service, please return your items in their original packaging to us at the address below. Please feel welcome to keep your Salt Sisterhood organic cotton tote bag if you are only returning part of your original order back to us, but if you need to return your whole order please also include the bag in your return package. Once we receive your returned items, we will check them over and issue you a refund to your original payment method if your return meets our requirements listed above. Refunds will be made back to the original payment method within 7-10 working days of the receipt of your returned order. Items received after 14 days will not be eligible for a refund, and will be posted back to you. Please note that you will be liable for the cost of returning such items back to you. FAULTY ITEMS All garments are checked for quality by hand at our production house, and we will re-check your order thoroughly again before sending to you, but if you find a manufacturing fault or your order has been packed incorrectly then the items can of course be returned. Please contact us so we can rectify any problems as soon as possible. The return of any items that are not found to be faulty and are not suitable for resale due to their condition (for example: worn; washed; soiled; damaged or altered in any way) will not be accepted and we will not be able to refund you. Such items will be sent back to you at your original postal address provided when ordering, and you will be liable for the cost of postage. CANCELLING AN ORDER We accept cancellations from the moment you place your order until 14 days after delivery of your goods. If your order hasn't shipped, you will receive an immediate refund. If you have already received your order then please treat it as a normal return and follow the steps above. We will not accept order cancellations if goods have been worn, taken out of their packaging or the labels have been removed or tampered with. To cancel your order, please contact us with your order number and details of the items you have purchased. Once you've cancelled an order, we'll provide a return address so that you can send it back to us. Please use a tracked shipping service and retain all related receipts and documents until the return has been processed and you have been refunded. We're cannot be responsible for any lost return packages and recommend that you purchase your own postal insurance for this reason. We are not responsible for paying the shipping cost incurred from returning an item to The Salt Sisterhood. Please note that refunds can only be issued back to your original payment method. When your parcel is received by The Salt Sisterhood fulfilment center, you will receive confirmation of your refund via email. Shipping Once your order has been placed on our website we will send you an order confirmation email including your order number and details of your purchase. We will send a second email once we have fulfilled your order and it's on its way to you - this will include a tracking link so that you can keep an eye on your delivery. We will always endeavour to fulfill your order as soon as possible, normally within 48 hours. UK DELIVERY Carbon Neutral Shipping: £5 Next Day Delivery: We do not currently offer this option but if you need your order in a rush please contact us here and we'll see if we can help you! DELIVERY TIMES Orders are sent by a tracked Royal Mail service and aim to be delivered within 2-3 working days. Please note that during holidays and busier times delivery may take up to 5 working days. OUR PACKAGING Your order will arrive in plastic-free packaging, with your swimwear wrapped in one of our signature organic cotton SALT tote bags. Our garden compostable boxes are made from 100% recycled paper and printed with non-toxic inks. PREORDERS We will keep you notified about your preorder status and send you an email with a tracking number once your order has shipped and is on its way to you.
